I had my first time last night!
Yes, tragically, I found the first gray hair!
The horror, the horror. It wasn't even gray. It was white, and that bastard had a mind of its own.
Of course I promptly removed it and then examined it.
I can't believe it.
None of you, from henceforth on, are allowed to tell me that I am not old.
So there.

Mine was much more traumatic, because the hairdresser in Vegas found it, and she made this huge deal about how ugly it was. "Oh my God! Look what I found! It's a grey hair! And it's all kinky and curly! Oh my God! Look at this!" and she plucked it and showed it to me. I won't be going back to her anyway, because she's in Vegas, but I wouldn't go on principle.
gray hair can occur at any age and it is merely encoded in your genes. also, people with dark hair tend to gray earlier; you are so not old! nothing to worry about- I grayed when I was 21!
I've had grey hairs since I was sixteen, and the while the rate's accelerating now (plus six white hairs in my chin, four in my sideburns), I'm terrified of the day I'll find myself facing my very first grey nosehair -- and the prospect of having to pluck it.
Mo's story is much worse.
Mo -- I just noticed that you spell it 'grey', while anonymous and Leah spell it 'gray'.
